Review of Empire Poker
The interface is easy to understand. The names of the players and their bankroll at the table are easily identifiable. You can take notes or mute players individually. I like to use this feature to keep track of the good or tight players. The loose players are easy to spot. A very nice feature is the “Fold to any Bet” checkbox. I find this very useful and miss it when playing other sites. All of the other normal buttons are available. For some reason there is not a button to call the bets when you are in the small blind, but it rarely is a problem.
The game play is quick and competitive. The timers do not allow players to ignore their tables for long and the players know what they are doing, even at lower limits. There are not any penny or nickel tables here. Tables start at .25/.50 cents and go up from there to very high limits.
Empire Poker has the basic games, but it is often difficult to find the limit you are looking for if you are playing Omaha or Stud. There are usually a couple games going on, but only at low limits.
The tournaments at Empire Poker used to really be great, but they have deteriorated since Party Poker left. This is a good site for ring games, but try another site such as Riviera Poker for tournaments.
I have personally always enjoyed playing at Empire Poker. I do well at the site. I even won a very nice tourney there before the split. The bonuses there are very nice now that they have to worry about attracting players. I recommend Empire Poker to anyone looking for a good game.

Empire Poker is a former Party Poker skin with the same graphics and software as Party Poker's, only in a different color. While the software is not the most eye pleasing to look at it is glitch free and well tested. They offer cash games ranging from $.50-$1 to $100-$200 fixed limit and from $25 to $2000 buy in no limit games. In addition to hold 'em they offer seven card stud, seven card stud eight or better, as well as omaha high and high low eight or better ...
